Meet Your Teacher

This is an old family picture. My son is now in 8th grade. :)

About Mrs. Pease

Hello! My name is Khamphet Pease and I teach STE(A)M electives including 3D Design & Modeling, Automation & Robotics, App Inventors, and Computer Science for Innovators and Makers.  I have been teaching for the past 18 years at Wilson Middle school. I feel very fortunate that I get to share my passion for math, science, and technology with your child!

I was born in Laos, a country in Southeast Asia but immigrated to the United States when I was four years old. Since the age of five, I have been living in San Diego. In my pre-college years, I attended Central Elementary, Horace Mann, Wilson Middle (yes, really!), and Gompers Secondary School. For college, I stayed local, attending UCSD where I attained my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Afterwards, I received my multiple subject teaching credential with supplemental authorizations in math and science from SDSU. I  have a GATE certification from UCSD Extension and I have a Masters degree in Curriculum Design and Teaching from USD.  I also acquired a supplemental authorization in Computer Concepts and Applications from UC Riverside Extension. I received my CTE credential in Engineering and Architecture in 2016. I love learning new things and I continue to take classes (mostly in technology) so that I can incorporate my new skills in the classroom.

On a personal note, I am married with two children (one living son and one deceased daughter). I have two very rambunctious dogs. I love reading, video games, and all things cute and purple! :)

I have made many resources available on this web site. Please take time to familiarize yourself with what is offered. I post the assignments daily, as well as the scheduled tests and quizzes. I also have links for video tutorials available.

I believe it is very important for parents and teachers to work together to help their children achieve success, so please take a moment every once in a while to check in with me regarding your child's progress. Email is the best way to do this. Let's have a great year!

5 County Teachers of Year throw out the ceremonial first pitch

I have been very fortunate to be recognized for my efforts and hard work in educating my students. This remains one of my fondest memories of my reign as one of the 5 San Diego County Teachers of the Year for 2015. I still have my autographed baseball and it is displayed proudly among my other teaching trophies.
